Responsibilities
  • Ensure a great Guest experience
  • Role model and hold Team Members accountable to operational and quality standards
  • Identify root cause of issues while being self-reflective and holding yourself accountable first, showing vulnerability and transparency
  • Foster open communication between Team Members and Management
  • Influence Team Member behaviors by championing change and restaurant initiatives
  • Lead with heart and mind
  • Drive business results by utilizing Chili's systems to effectively control costs
  • Follow operational systems, such as our Manager Timeline and performing quality Line Checks
  • Hire, train, retain, and develop Team Members to take on larger roles
  • Drive Guest engagement within the four walls of the restaurant while developing relationships within the community
  • Understand and practice safe food handling procedures
  • Communicate and embody Chili's culture and Cultural Beliefs: Every Guest Counts, Food Perfection, Be Accountable, Play Restaurant

Hourly Team Member


Average Pay: $10 – $20 per hour

You bring your passion, dedication, teamwork and spirit to the table. We’ll help you make the most of it and prepare you for your “next”. You’ll get:

  • Skill development in hospitality, teamwork, salesmanship and a whole lot more

Certified Shift Leader


Average Salary: $38,000 – $48,000

This first-of-its-kind program will help you turn your leadership skills into a management role. After you master two hourly roles, the Certified Shift Leader program will help you prepare for the next level by providing:

  • Restaurant Manager Apprenticeship through the Department of Labor
  • Certified restaurant manager credential from the National Restaurant Association Education Foundation
  • A wealth of opportunities to hone your business and people skills

Manager


Average Salary: $50,000 – $75,000

After a minimum of six months as a Certified Shift Leader, you may be ready for your next big move up. As you continue to develop your leadership skills, you may enjoy such growth options as:

  • Development through the EMERGE program to bring out the best leader in you
  • Mentoring opportunities through the RISE program
  • Online manager development training modules
  • On-the-job skill training in schedule writing, budgeting, data analysis and more

General Manager


Average Salary: $75,000 – $125,000

When you have established your reputation for excellence and have demonstrated the ability to develop others, we’ll help you grow into a General Manager role where you may continue your development through:

  • Possible participation in the LEAD development program designed to further hone your leadership skills
  • Franklin Covey 4 Essentials of Roles of Leadership
  • Ongoing training on operational systems, people management, marketing, accounting, and more
